Fillongley Village Hall
Coventry Road, Fillongley, Coventry CV7 8PB, UK
In person
The main activities will be happening on Saturday 31st May 2025 from 10am-4pm, but many of us will be making a weekend of it - there is space for camping/motorhomes on-site and a local hotel has held some rooms for us for the weekend. We really wanted to put on an in-person event that allowed our spread-out community to gather and be together for a day, where you can bring your kids and dogs so you don't need sitters, and we can have a day of fun and rest, and fundraise for the future Eco Retreat Centre vision. We hope you can join us!GET INVOLVED!We are creating a programme based on all your ideas and looking for volunteers to help us during the event.
We are hoping to have lots of different activities during the weekend including yoga, meditation, kids activities, film showings and live acoustic music. There will be plenty of opportunities to mingle, chat, enjoy the food on offer, as well as a talk and meditation from our lovely Lama David. If you have any ideas for activities that we could provide or that you would like to offer (like Stefani who will be offering singing bowl healing sessions) please do let us know!We have stalls planned including Manus's travelling Samadhi Shop as well as craft stalls, Samadhi merch, tombola, and food sampling. If you are a crafter or have something to donate to the tombola or raffle we would love to hear from you!We are also open to ideas for other stalls that we could put on.
To make this fantastic event a success we will need help with manning stalls, running activities, food prep and serving, setting up and packing down (on Friday and Sunday) and then greeting people on arrival and showing people where to camp/park etc.If this is something you would be happy to be involved in (whether it's just a half hour or a few hours) let us know so we can start to see what capacity we have and therefore figure out how much of a programme we can offer. As the saying goes, many hands make light work!If you are or know any: Acoustic PerformersDJsCraftersFood MakersPhotographersVideographersFire MarshallsFirst AidersSafety Officers...please get in touch!
We are hoping to keep the budget (and therefore the ticket cost) low for the event by either borrowing equipment or having items donated. Some items we need to borrow:Marquees/TeepeesProjector & ScreenTombola DrumBBQFestival DecorFairy LightsStageBean BagsBuntingFlagsTiki TorchesTrolleys or WheelbarrowsOutdoor LightingItems we hope can be donated:GiftsVegan TreatsBooks
We hope these gatherings provide an opportunity for meaningful connection with others following similar teachings and paths. We're all so proud of how our community is growing, and look forward to spending quality time with each other. Hope to see you there!
