Take a Step Back

David Oromith · 35 minutes · recorded September 7, 2025

In mindfulness of breathing we settle into the body and then notice whether each in-breath and out-breath runs long or short. David uses the parable of the blind men and the elephant to show how a narrow view distorts our reactions, from snapping at a late bus driver to a frozen computer, and how stepping back to see the wider web of causes lets us respond more calmly and realistically.
